one of the central male lead roles in the Poole Academy of Dance 2008 Production of "Wicked" and not surprisingly
has his heart set on making a career in the performing arts. Ibu has had his work cut out with South Coast Ballet ever since
joining! For our New Year Triple Bill he played the male lead, Peter, in Peter and the Wolf, as well as the male lead in Sorcerers'
Apprentice. Additionally, he was Stephanie Walkers partner in both the Turkish Delight Pas de Deux and the Grand Pas

Senior Soloists Senior Soloists are ordinarily the most technically advanced dancers
- working at Advanced Foundation and above. They perform the most challenging and demanding Solo dances as well as supporting
lead, dramatic or character roles. They also dance as part of the main Ensemble too. There are currently no Senior Soloists
in the Company at the present time.
Soloists Soloists dance in the main Chorus and Ensemble dances, small group dances and duets. They are also given
the opportunity to perform a Solo dance in most productions. They may also at times be given dramatic supporting or character
roles to dance.

Guest Artists We warmly invite anyone,
dancers and/or actors, who would like to participate in our production of Coppelia at the Bournemouth Pavilion, as a
character artist. Parts/roles available are as follows:-
Dr Coppelius This is a principle
character part, which is required in all three Acts of the Ballet. No dancing is required of this role.
The
Innkeeper and His Wife These are minor roles which are required in Acts 1 and 3 only. They are
Franz' parents. There will be a small amount of dancing required - part of an ensemble and very simple and easy steps.
The Baker and His Wife These are minor roles which
are required in Acts 1 and 3 only. They are Swanilda's parents. There will be a small amount of dancing required - part
of an ensemble and very simple and easy steps.
The Vicar and His Wife These are minor roles which are required in Acts 1 and 3 only. There could possibly be a small amount of dancing
involved - but this is not neccessary - and would be part of an ensemble with very simple and easy steps.
The Mayor and His Wife This is a more significant role, less required
than Dr Coppelius, but more than the Vicar, Innkeepers and Bakers. There will be greater mime sequences and more appearances
throughout Acts 1 and 3 only. They will also be required to participate with some simple and easy steps with the ensemble.
Village People Any number of persons who would like
to dance/mime the part of a villager, is also welcome. Again, there would be mime as well as some simple and easy dance steps
as part of an ensemble. They would be required in Acts 1 and 3
If you are interested, please contact us,
there will be NO OBLIGATION just by making an enquiry!!! and certainly NO pressure to join us. But of course, we'd love
to have anyone join who would love to tread the boards with us, and of course the young dancers can also gain much from your
experience and knowledge too. There will be a minimal number of rehearsals to participate in, and these will only be
on a Saturday. Please contact the Artistic Director directly.
