The Magic of the Dance. The Thrill of the Performance

Corps de Ballet - Artistes

Megan Hawtin
Megan studies at Poole Academy of Dance and has just taken her RAD Grade 4 level with Distinction, having recently achieved her Grade 3 with Merit, her Medal Tests with Honours, and her Tap and Modern with Distinction. She has studied ballet for six years and would one day like to be a dance teacher. Her credits include performing in The Nutcracker and Coppelia and dancing the solo part of 'Random' as well as that of a Courtier in Snow White. In 'The Nutcracker' in January 2011 she danced as one of the children, a mouse and a sugary jelly and in our production of 'Giselle' she was a Villager in Act One, as well as Mummy Poodle in the supporting ballet 'The Magic Toyshop'. In our recent production of 'The Snow Queen' Megan danced in the ensemble as a Skater, Arabian Courtier, Reindeer and Frosticle as well as the Flower Duet with Abigail Powley.

Jourdan Hunt
Jourdan has been studying ballet since she was 4 years old, and now has 6 years of study behind her! Jourdan has achieved Distinction for all her ballet, tap and modern exams to date! including her recent success in her RAD Grade 4 Ballet, being just as successful in her Bronze, Silver and Gold Medal Tests. Jourdan has quite a record of performing behind her - she has clocked up three shows with Poole Academy as well as 'perform for life' and 'young performers' in London. Most recently she was one of the dancers in the Lighthouse Theatres' annual panto 'Peter Pan'. Not surprisingly, Jourdan would like to one day be a dancer or work with children. Jourdan's credits with South Coast Ballet include Cinderella, Mermaid, The Nutcracker, Coppelia and Snow White, where she played the solo part of 'Clumsy' as well as a Courtier. In our production of 'The Nutcracker' she was a child, mouse and sugary jelly, and in our production of 'Giselle' she was a Villager in Act One, and a Naughty Little Poodle in the supporting ballet 'The Magic Toyshop'. For our recent production of 'The Snow Queen' Jourdan is cast to be in the ensemble of the Skaters, Arabian Courtiers, Reindeer and Frosticles as well as dancing a Flower Pas de Trois with Eva Martin and Evie-Mae Parks.

Eva Martin
Eva studies at Poole Academy of Dance and is studying at RAD Grade 3 level. She has attained Merits, Distinctions and Honours for all her dance exams and Medal Tests to date, as well as a Distinction for her Gold Medal level in Acrobatics!! and the Level 7 Proficiency Award. She competed in major gymnastics festivals in 2008 and 2009. Special performances have included The Flying Monkey Acrobatics, and as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz (2008), and the recent Lighthouse Theatre Pantomime 'Peter Pan'. Eva would one day like to be a famous gymnast at the Olympics. Her credits with South Coast Ballet include The Nutcracker, Coppelia and Snow White, in which she played the solo part of 'Chuckle' as well as a Courtier. Eva did not appear in our production of The Nutcracker, as she was in the Lighthouse Theatre pantomime 'Peter Pan', but returned to us performing in our production of 'Giselle' as a Villager in Act One, and as a Naughty Poodle in the supporting ballet 'The Magic Toyshop'. In our recent production of 'The Snow Queen' Eva danced in the ensemble as a Skater, Arabian Courtier, Reindeer and Frosticle as well as in the Flower Pas de Trois with Jourdan Hunt and Evie-Mae Parks
